2009 Midwest Committee Appointment Process

The USTA/Midwest Section Volunteer Leadership Committee is introducing the new Committee Appointment Process (CAP). This is designed for USTA/Midwest Section members to apply on-line for USTA/Midwest Section committee positions by allowing applicants from the district and section levels of the organization to input interest in helping grow the game of tennis at the grassroots level. All current committee members MUST apply using this system if they wish to be reappointed.

USTA/Midwest Section members will complete an on-line application form including their skills, interests, committee choices, and committee positions. The application process will begin on July 1, 2009 and end on July 31, 2009. Our intent is to create a level playing field and consistent application opportunity for all volunteers. The USTA/Midwest Section is the first Section in the Country to provide this electronic application process to increase transparency to the committee appointment process.

By submitting an application, the volunteer is not guaranteed a position on a Sectional Committee. All USTA/Midwest Section members not selected for a Section Committee will be assigned to the Tennis Volunteer Corps to encourage them to remain active in Growing the Game. Committee appointments will be made by the Section President.

To express your interest in becoming a USTA/Midwest Section volunteer and committee member, visit http://app.usta.com/mwCAP/ between July 1-July 31. Note: If you click on this link prior to July 1 or after July 31, you will see the following message: "Sorry, the timeframe for the USTA/Midwest Section committee application process has expired!"
