B18- District Team Cup, Kalamazoo, MI

Each summer, juniors from around the USTA/Midwest Section represent their district in an exciting team competition. Match play consists of a round-robin format throughout the weekend and concludes with the top teams advancing to the championship match. Players are selected to participate based on their ranking, tournament play, character, and sportsmanship.

The USTA/Midwest Section District Team Cup-B18 (formerly known as the Junior Davis Cup) started in 1949 and the USTA/Midwest Section Marian Wood Baird Cup-G18 (formerly know as Junior Wightman Cup) started in 1951. Many great USTA/Midwest Section champions have participated in these events including Todd Martin, Lilia Osterloh, Ann Grossman, Tim and Tom Gullikson, Tami and Teri Whitlinger, Todd Witsken, Rajeev Ram, and Laura Granville. It has also become a great opportunity for players to compete in front of top college coaches.
