Patterson, Pearson and Malpass Highlight USTA/Midwest Award Winners

Tom Patterson (Chicago, Illinois) received the 2016 USTA/Midwest Section Mel Bergman Award, the Section’s most prestigious award. The Tad Malpass Family of East Jordan, Michigan, received the Section Family of the Year Award. John Pearson (Indianapolis, Indiana) received the Section Stan Malless Award. All three award winners were honored on January 28, 2017, during the USTA/MIdwest Section Annual Meeting in Indianapolis. Read More

USTA Midwest Seeks Nominations for 2017 Awards

The USTA/Midwest Section has two deadlines for its awards each year, and the first deadline for this year is March 22, 2017. The awards for this deadline will be presented at locations around the USTA/Midwest Section during the spring and summer. Any individual may nominate a USTA/Midwest Section member, organization, etc. for a USTA/Midwest Section award. Nomination forms may be submitted through the mail, email, or online. Read More

USTA Midwest Forms Players Advisory Group for High School Tennis

One of the steps that the USTA/Midwest Section has taken is to create a student voice. In late 2016, the USTA/Midwest High School Task Force create a Players Advisory Group (PAG). Alpine Regional Tennis Association Uses Grant to Help Build New Courts

Looking to build new tennis courts in your community, or need to update current courts to keep up with current programming needs? The Alpine Regional Tennis Association (ARTA), a local CTA based in Gaylord, Michigan, is using grants from the USTA/Midwest Section and the USTA for the construction of four new outdoor courts at the Otsego County Sportsplex.
