Tennis Advocacy
The USTA/Midwest Section congratulates you on taking the first step to advocate for tennis in your community. You will find some great resources on this site that will help you to build tennis facilities and create programming in your area.
USTA Organization Members
USTA Member Organizations play an important role in reaching new tennis enthusiasts and maintaining the fine traditions of our sport. As an Organization Member, you have access to several member benefits, including the privilege to host tournaments that are officially sanctioned by the USTA.
Community Tennis Associations
Community Tennis Association (CTAs) are grassroots organizations designed to grow tennis at the local level. They're usually founded by people like you who love tennis and want to make a difference in their communities. Any organization or group can activate a CTA if it is associated with at least one tennis program or event during the course of the year - activiation is free.
Tennis Welcome Centers
TennisWelcomeCenter.com lists facilities across the country that can introduce (or re-introduce) people to the game. Anyone can log on, enter a zip code, and get contact information for registered facilities in the area. Is your facility a registered Tennis Welcome Center (TWC)?
Park and Recreation
More than 70% of people who play tennis participate at a local park facility. As a park and recreation, we offer instructor training, grants and public facility funding.
Tennis Clubs
Tennis clubs play an important role in bringing players into the game and keeping players in the sport for a lifetime. We can help you start new programs to get more people playing at your club.
Schools
We're interested in working with our schools across the USTA/Midwest Section to introduce tennis to youth. From elementary thru high school level, there are a number of ways we can partner with your school.
Sponsors
Sponsors are valued partners who enable us to deliver tennis programming and resources to the tennis industry and to players throughout the Midwest. We couldn't do what we do without their support, and by working together we all increase our chances of success.
Community Based Organizations
Community Based Organizations (CBOs) are local organizations (boys and girls clubs, YMCA and YWCA, etc.) whose primary mission is not to develop tennis, but integrate a tennis program into their existing programs. We value our partnerships with CBOs as they have introduced tennis to so many non-players in their communities.
