Public Facility Funding
The USTA has allocated funds to help support public facility enhancements, renovations and new construction projects through the USTA Public Facility Funding Grant. The 2010 TIP pre-assessment (qualifies your community to apply for public facility funding) will be available online October 2009. When completing the pre-assessment form mark court repair or refurbishing as the No. 1 priority to be eligible for the Public Facility Funding Grant.
Tennis in the Parks Grant
Nearly 70% of tennis is played on public courts, and park and recreation agencies play an important role in the health of this lifetime sport. The jointly developed and implemented Tennis in the Parks (TIP) initiative is an effort to increase access to quality public tennis facilities and opportunities for the public to enjoy the sport. The essence of this initiative is to assist park and recreation agencies in leveraging their tennis facilities to promote lifelong healthy activity and improve their programming by advancing the latest tennis innovations for all program types.
